Privacy policy
Pozzani Australasia Pty Ltd (ABN 15 690 897 557) ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It applies to our website, www.poz-auz.com.au, and to dealings with us by phone and email.
1. What we collect
We collect the personal information we need to serve you: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, order history, and the content of messages you send us. If you leave a review or send an enquiry, we collect what you write. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and are not stored by us. We also collect technical information when you use the website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site, through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we collect it
Mostly directly from you: when you order, create an account, contact us, subscribe to reminders or leave a review. We also receive confirmation of payment from Stripe and delivery updates from our couriers. We do not buy personal information from third parties.
3. Why we use it
To process and deliver your orders, take payment, issue tax invoices and handle returns and warranty claims.
To run your account, including creating one for you when you order as a guest so you can track your order.
To answer your enquiries and provide technical support.
To send you a reminder when a basket is left unfinished, if you gave us your email address at checkout, and to send filter-change reminders if you asked for them.
To send marketing emails only where you have agreed; every such email has an unsubscribe link.
To improve the website and understand how it is used, in aggregate.
To meet our legal obligations, including tax and consumer law record-keeping.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to do the things above: with Stripe to take payment; with couriers to deliver your order; with our email, hosting and analytics providers who process it on our behalf; and with our parent company, Pozzani Pure Water Limited in the United Kingdom, for group administration and support. Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United Kingdom and the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
5. Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping your basket and sign-in, and, where enabled, analytics cookies that help us see how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, though the basket and checkout need them. [State the analytics or advertising tools in use, such as Google Analytics, and link to their opt-outs.]
6. How we keep it safe
Personal information is held on secured servers in Australia and by the providers named above. Access is limited to staff who need it, the website uses encryption in transit, and staff access to our systems is restricted. We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above and as the law requires (for example, tax records for seven years), then delete or de-identify it. Website visit records are kept for 90 days.
7. Access, correction and deletion
You can see and update most of your details by signing in to your account. You may ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, by emailing support@pozzani.com.au. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge for a reasonable request.
8. Marketing choices
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send you emails about your orders and account.
9. Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at support@pozzani.com.au or on 03 9917 6838, or write to 145 Fitzgerald Road, Laverton North VIC 3026. We will investigate and reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
