From a market town in Lincolnshire to Laverton North

Pozzani Pure Water began in Louth as an effort to improve everyday drinking water. Its early work was plumbed-in filtration: systems that connect to the mains and filter water on demand, with cartridges that last far longer than a jug filter and cost a fraction of bottled water per litre. From its warehouse and assembly plant on the Fairfield Industrial Estate the company grew into one of the UK's largest and longest-established suppliers of plumbed-in filter systems and replacement cartridges, adding water coolers, water softeners and dechlorination systems along the way.

Two habits formed in those years and have stayed with us. The first is making cartridges that fit other manufacturers' appliances as well as our own, so a customer is not tied to one maker's price for a part that needs changing twice a year. The second is answering the phone: real people who know which filter fits which fridge.

Back in 2003, when Amazon was still thought of as a bookshop and Netflix was a DVD rental service, Pozzani was already building web services in the UK for distributing water filters, and became the first mainstream company in our sector to offer online ordering with rapid delivery. A replacement cartridge is a small, regular purchase that nobody wants to drive across town for, and we understood early that the web was the right way to sell it: find the part, order it, have it on the doormat in a day or two. That is still the whole idea behind this website.

Pozzani Polska opened in Toruń in 2013, bringing the range to central Europe. It runs its own warehouse in the city, serves households as well as hotels, restaurants, cafés and spas, and since 2016 has sold online through Filtrosfera.pl. Toruń has made the coffee world its speciality: alongside the filters it supplies everything that goes with a coffee machine, from cleaning chemicals and descalers to barware and the coffee beans themselves. Product development for the Pozzani and FilterLogic ranges stays with the UK team in Louth.

FilterLogic Kft opened in Budapest in 2020 with two jobs. The first was to stand behind our long-standing distributor in Hungary with local stock and support. The second was bigger: with Brexit about to put a customs border between Lincolnshire and the Continent, Budapest became our distribution centre inside the European Union, shipping Pozzani and FilterLogic products to customers in all 27 member states without the delays and paperwork of a border crossing.

Australians were already finding us online and asking whether we could ship the same filters here, so in 2025 we set up Pozzani Australasia Pty Ltd at 145 Fitzgerald Road, Laverton North, and started trading as Poz-Auz. Stock is held in Melbourne rather than shipped from overseas, so delivery is fast, free on orders over $99, and you can click and collect from the counter. Part numbers are the same ones Pozzani uses in the UK, which makes it simple to reorder the filter you had last time.
